The shoe’s black leather/ white suede form stripe branded upper and a removable fold down tongue are inspired by the original Puma King soccer boot. Released in 1968, the Puma King recalls an era when footwear was simple, sleek, and Puma branded luminaries like Johan Cruyff and Pele were making their own kind of convention defying artistic statements. The ‘oatmeal’ vintage effect at the midsole reinforces the classic influence, then immediately subverts it with an infusion of CELL cushioning technology.
