The ongoing collaboration series by Reebok and luxury Maison Margiela continues to apply the French luxury house’s experimental elegance to the casual sportswear style of Reebok classics in a variety of inventive ways. 

The latest offering puts some serious topspin on the design of a longtime favorite in the Club C tennis shoe, and lands on the baseline between Roland Garros and the Louvre. 

Constructed from a single piece of flat leather, the Reebok x Maison Margiela Club C utilizes the trompe l’oeil [deceive the eye] technique to reproduce an image of the classic Club C design across the surface. The result is an optical illusion that replicates a 3-D design in 2-D space, for a surprising twist on a familiar sight.
