From selling homemade shirts in her North London garage to running an independent label and artist collective, Gemma Shiel’s Lazy Oaf has long embraced the history of counterculture and the styles that defined them. So, it’s no wonder that their working relationship with one of the most notable names in subculture has been so fruitful. After 4 sold-out collaborations to date, Lazy Oaf reunites with Dr. Marten for their take on a trio of styles. 

The iconic 1461 was Dr. Martens’ second silhouette, and first low-top. Dating back to 1961, the style would become a go-to for workers and for going out. For Lazy Oaf’s version, a waxy nappa leather is used for the upper while the brand’s signature screen-printed illustration appears on the vamp and backstrap. A double heel loop, higher Bex sole and a dual-branded sock liner completes the design.
