“Windy City” designer and creative director Joe Freshgoods turns back the clock for a capsule collection inspired by how Chicago looked and sounded back in 1976. Best seen through the Nem Perez and Steven Caputo short, “A Shirt to Sleep In,” the retro apparel and accessories bring life to an all-night party and provide the perfect complement to the accompanying far out, flashy versions of the Converse Chuck 70 Hi and Pro Leather Hi.

Approaching the Chuck 70 HI with a completely different set of design ideas, the Joe Freshgoods Chuck is marked with head-to-toe patchwork— a bold and colorful design reminiscent of his signature tees from yesteryear. JFG Family reunion and related branding appears throughout.

“I wanted to approach the collection like a reader scrolling through a book about love, Black culture, soul, and art,” Joe said in a statement. “Each piece is a history lesson.”
