In August, desginer Feng Chen Wang applied her heralded, innovative, multidimensional aesthetic sensibility to the Converse Jack Purcell, creating a wholly unique layered leather design, crafted from her name’s Mandarin characters. 

For autumn, Feng Chen Wang offers her latest take on the ultimate icon, the Chuck Taylor All Star. A purely artistic version was originally presented at a New York Fashion Week runway show in 2018, as a deconstructed and ressambled piece with hand painted details. 

The Chuck 2-In-1 represents the painstaking end product of repeated tinkering, which brings the artistic concept to life, and to everyday wear. Two alternate sizes of organic canvas Chuck 70s are layered, bringing a signature element of Wang’s work to the iconic silhouette. The deconstruction and layering are emphasized with a doubling motif that sees double layered foxing tape, a split midsole, and double lace looping.
