Designed by Shigeyuki Mitsui, the creator of the GEL-Lyte III, the GEL-MC Plus is an archival deep cut, circa 1995. The ‘MC’ stands for motion control, as the shoe’s medial midfoot nylon strap reduced overpronation. This hidden gem has been reissued, with a redesigned midsole that utilizes tooling from the GEL-Cumulus, for upgraded cushioning. 

On this special edition, Tremaine Emory (aka Denim Tears) tells a story of his Harlem, Georgia roots, where Emrey would spend his summer, constantly staining his white sneakers on the unpaved clay roads. Both an Angora and Burnt Ochre colorway present Emery’s reminiscent vision.
