While the original 1973 Waffle Racer may have been the first one out of the iron, but it certainly wasn’t the last waffle in Nike’s kitchen. 1977’s Waffle Trainer is the latest ’70s classic to be reintroduced, joining contemporaries like the Daybreak, Tailwind and Challenger. 

The Waffle Trainer 2’s nylon, moccasin inspired upper, suede overlays and waffle outsole appear in old-school form, while updated performance features like a memory foam sockliner and dual-density foam midsole put a modern spring in the step of this timeless style.
