Vault by Vans has teamed up with Nigerian-American artist Ade Okuboyejo to celebrate growing up in Ikoyi, Lagos in the best way they know how: a collection of reimagined, iconic sneakers. Entitled “Forever Sunny in Ikoyi” Okuboyejo and his brand Dobale, which means “respect” in Yorùbá, took the Era, Bold NI, and Slip On and infused them with the happiness and positive memories from his childhood and the results are like an infectious smile. 

The Bold NI features a tri-tone makeup using vintage suede, pigskin and 10 oz. drill canvas uppers and is finished with a custom sidewall print along with a green Vault by Vans heel scab. All Vault by Vans x Dobale footwear styles are built with UltraCush™ footbeds and are finished with custom checker foxing stripes that merge Vans’ heritage with Ikoyi street curbs.
