Taking cues from a cult sci-fi tv series, this Dutch Nato field jacket, features a chest patch and embroidery based on the ‘Mandarin Square’ found on the garments of officials in imperial China. The embroidery was detailed with animal or bird insignia; Tigers were used as a symbol of military might and here represents man, an earthbound creature now granted flight on his spiritual journey.
