For Autumn/Winter 2020, Undercover stays the cinematic course that recent past collections have tread, but adds a traditional Japanese element. Having dealt in the uncertainty of the future with 2001: A Space Odyssey and A Clockwork Orange and the bloody suspense of Suspiria, Jun Takahashi delves into the historical, with Akira Kurosawa’s Throne of Blood, a 1957 classic retelling of Macbeth, set in feudal Japan. 

Undercover’s famous sense of chaos is well represented, as the cutting edge, avant garde design sensibilities collide with swords, arrows, samurai armor, and mukade.
