From a purely superficial perspective, the graphic tees offered by the collaborative capsule from Medicom Toy and renowned illustrator and designer Hajime Sorayama provide exactly what it says on the label. Namely, sexy robots. 

That hardly does justice, however, to the lasting cultural impact of Sorayama’s work. The blend of organic passions and mechanized precision, presented in his detailed, hyper-realistic style helped to codify the age of cyber culture that was beginning to take shape in the early 1980s. 

Sorayama’s work has been featured on album covers, in films, and eventually, he even got to work on the design of a real life artificially intelligent robot. So a t-shirt is actually the easiest way to get your hands on his seminal work.
