Spring/Summer 2021 sees TAKAHIROMIYASHITA The Soloist execute a vision of design free from labels and distinctions, that is underpinned by a dystopian darkness. The notion of creating fashion not intended for a specific person is expressed through the recurring motif of John and Jane Doe, the generic monikers given to unidentified bodies and unknown persons. Miyashita’s sophisticated virtuoso tailoring, intricate attention to detail, and an innovative, progressive design sensibility are all present, and all cosmically meaningless.
