Brought to the forefront of footwear fashion by last month’s Casablanca’s collaboration, the New Balance 327 may be a new silhouette for New Balance, but the design’s roots are as retro as it gets.

Inspired by archival runners from the 1970s, the nylon and suede upper sports a classic grey and white on the outer side, with white becoming the more dominant of the colors as the design transitions on the inner foot. Despite the transformation, an oversized “N” logo remains the focal point while a classic ridged rubber sole with rounded rubber cleats completes the retro look.
