The brainchild of designer Hardy Blechman, Maharishi has produced its award-winning pacifist military designs since 1994.  The roots of Maharishi, and offshoot label MHI, lay in Blechman’s former career in the military surplus clothing trade, which inspired Blechman to take the concept of repurposing to a new level.

MILTYPE is Maharishi’s interpretation of the graphic language and typography employed by militaries to assign codes and specifications to clothing and equipment.

Organic cotton is a Maharishi staple. Essential to every season, the fabric is FairTrade, environmentally friendly, regenerative and has a lighter carbon footprint than non-organic cotton.
