The brainchild of designer Hardy Blechman, Maharishi has produced its award-winning pacifist military designs since 1994. The roots of Maharishi, and offshoot label MHI, lay in Blechman’s former career in the military surplus clothing trade, which inspired Blechman to take the concept of repurposing to a new level.
Lightweight Japanese nylon reinforced with a micro-ripstop weave, 100% recycled from waste yarn. Micro-ripstop is resistant to tearing, water-repellent and quick-drying – offering protection from the elements, whilst remaining lightweight and breathable.Embroidered with a MILTYPE style embroidery and constructed from a water-repellant Japanese nylon dyed with olives and charcoal rather than chemicals. The nylon is constructed from waste yarns.
