Easily one of the most distinctive designs in the Jordan catalogue, the Air Jordan 12 utilizes some esoteric inspiration, like 19th century women’s formal boots and rising sun imagery (no, really), to craft a paradigm shifting design, packed with the latest performance tech. 

While every iteration of the Air Jordan 12 puts a modern spin on these stately sources of visual inspiration, by virtue of being a modern basketball sneaker, the Air Jordan 12 ‘Concord’ outdoes itself. The popular, grape appellation is, in actuality, only an accent color this time around. It isn’t difficult to see how it grabbed the headlines, however. An all-black upper of suede and reptile skin textured leather provides the perfect backdrop for the deep purple to brazenly play off of, in the form of metallic tinged midfoot and eyelet details. The Concord also makes its way to the tongue’s Jumpman logo, heel pulls and sockliner.
