Karhu take as much pride in being Finnish as they do in their storied history of manufacturing top of the range athletic footwear.  Karhu’s heritage footwear models often feature some kind of reference to Finland, like the colors of an Arctic Circle sunset, or a winter forest. 

This Finnish connection carries over to Karhu’s latest collaborative release, a three-way joint effort in conjunction with SSSU and London retail fixture Footpatrol. Headed by Helsinki-based designer Sasu Kauppi, SSSU specializes in high end sportswear with a , subculture inspired energy behind it. 

Karhu and SSSU and Footpatrol  applies this sophisticated yet raw aesthetic to the high performance technical vibe of the Legacy 96. A nylon and hairy suede upper with pigskin overlays, reflective detailing, and co-branding is rendered in a subtle grey and white colorway. A specially designed Karhu wordmark logo by Kauppi features letters from each respective collaborative partner.
